- Rusty and black streaked, this squash is a Hubbard type.
- Its yellow-orange flesh is very thick, firm and fine-grained.
- Its sweet and fruity aroma recalls the taste of melon or nuts.
- Its rather tough epidermis makes cutting more difficult. Little tip: put the squash in a bag and throw it on the ground (not on the kitchen ceramic!), cook the squash with the peel and remove it easily after cooking.
Use:
- With its sweet taste, it is very good for mashed potatoes, soufflés and jams.
- Excellent in soup
